Drift Blast

Welcome to Dirftblast! My entry for the 2024 New Mexico game jam! 

I managed to do this without ever creating a 3D game in Godot before. 

Drift Blast is a time attack game, all about trying to get the fastest time, mainly by drifting and blasting! 

Your hover car will run automatically, no input needed! You can simply turn with the left analogue stick, or the A and D keys on the keyboard, you can also strafe with the shoulder buttons, or the Q and E keys. Most importantly is the bottom button on your controller, or the space bar, that's your boost button! You press that and it'll get your car to slowly stop, while drifting. Then release for a large burst of speed! 

Try to get a time as fast as you can! My best is currently 1:10.090! 

I did most everything myself, the few textures, all the programming, and the sound effects where made in jsfxr.
